The viola revealed

Anna Webb presents a sonorous journey from the 17th to the 20th century, through seldom-heard music for solo viola.  Explore musicological links between Baroque, Romantic and Modern interpretations of the viola's unique and beautiful qualities.  Anna is a freelance performer based in Adelaide, appearing regularly in the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, the Kegelstatt Ensemble and Adelaide Baroque.

Alexander Paine
Alexander Paine, recorder

Aged just 19, Alexander Paine is one of Adelaide's most eminent young musicians. In 2009 and 2010 he was awarded an Elder Conservatorium Director’s Award for excellence in recorder and organ. Audiences are delighted by his virtuoso technique and his joy in the music he plays. In this concert Alexander brings a program of recorder music that is well suited to the intimate acoustic of Mary Magdalene's.
