Can you spare a can of baked beans for a good cause?

The Magdalene Centre has an emergency assistance branch, used by people who are in dire need of basic supplies such as food and personal hygiene products.

You can help. Donations are constantly required, especially as the weather gets colder and people feel hungrier.

 The items most requested are:
  • Long-life, full cream milk
  • Pasta and pasta sauces
  • Canned vegetables and canned fruit
  • Baked beans and other canned beans
  • Rice
  • Breakfast cereal
  • Vegemite, peanut paste, jam and other spreads
  • Baby food, nappy creams and nappies
  • Personal hygiene products such as soap, toothpaste and toothbrushes.

Donations can be left in the baskets at St Mary Magdalene’s church, or taken directly to the Magdalene Centre. The staff there will be very glad to see you.
