The Magdalene Centre 2013 temporary move to Whitmore Square

[10 June 2014 Update - the Bargain Centre is back in Carrington Street - Read about it here!]

The Magdalene Centre is an iconic provider of practical support to disadvantaged, isolated and marginalised people in Adelaide. It has three main arms: administration, emergency assistance and a Bargain Centre (op shop).

The Assistance Centre and the Bargain Centre have moved from Carrington Street, around the corner from St Mary Magdalene’s church, to temporary premises in St Luke's Rectory, 35a Whitmore Square, Adelaide.

The administrative functions of the Magdalene Centre will remain at St Mary Magdalene’s church hall, 26 Moore St, Adelaide.

The current Magdalene Centre building in Carrington Street is soon to be demolished and an expanded facility will be built. This will enable the Magdalene Centre to provide better services and support.

Services to clients remain the priority and they will continue to need the wonderful support of volunteers, donations to the Centre and work within the Magdalene Centre. Please continue to donate and support this important work.
