Message from the Churchwardens:
The process for selecting a new priest for St Mary Magdalene’s has commenced.
The Nomination Committee, Archbishop and Diocesan Nominators have agreed that the formal part of the process will commence after we have had a consultation within the Parish.
A consultation will be held on Saturday 1 February from 10 am to 12.30 pm. The venue will be the Hall, and the consultation with be facilitated by the Very Revd Frank Nelson, Dean of St Peter’s Cathedral.
We will be making available some resource material to inform the discussion, which will include a summary of the proceedings at the Mission Action Plan consultation held in July 2013, as well as some general information and comments about the Parish, including some statistics and our financial position. The intention is to reconsider the missionary priorities we discussed last year, and to consider whether they are still current, and what other opportunities for ministry we might wish to consider. And of course, the kind of priest who we envisage will provide that leadership.
We realise this is short notice but the Diocese is keen (as are we) to proceed with the process as soon as possible. Those unable to attend the Consultation can still participate in this process by contacting one of the Churchwardens.
When: Saturday 1 February from 10 am to 12.30 pm
Where: St Mary Magdalene's Church Hall, Moore St, Adelaide
Facilitator: Very Revd Frank Nelson, Dean of St Peter’s Cathedral
