Welcome, Sister Juliana SI

On Sunday 5 January 2014 we farewelled our Rector, Revd Cate Relf-Pennington, who is taking up a position in Wymondham Abbey in England. She will begin work after being licenced by the Bishop during a Sung Eucharist on Sunday 19 January 2014. Our prayers are with her.

At St Mary Magdalene’s, the Locum Tenens is Sister Juliana SI, who will take services and minister to us while a new Rector is sought. Sister Juliana is a member of the Sisters of the Incarnation (that’s the “SI” after her name) and as a priest of more than twenty years’ standing, has extensive parish experience.

St Mary Magdalene’s Nominations Committee will be working with the Diocese to find a new Rector for the parish. This usually takes some time, so we can expect to have Sister Juliana with us for many months.

Welcome, Sister.
