The Magdalene Centre Bargain Centre is back in Carrington Street

They’re back!

The Magdalene Centre Bargain Centre (Op Shop), which had temporarily moved over to Whitmore Square, is back in its usual spot at 42-46 Carrington Street, around the corner from St Mary Magdalene’s parish church.

The Bargain Centre welcomes your donations of quality books, clothes, CDs, DVDs, crockery, jewellry and knick-knacks for sale. Their friendly staff are always ready to assist you. Opening hours are 10am to 3pm each weekday.

The Assistance Centre is currently still located at Whitmore Square. This is the team that provides emergency assistance to those in desperate need. Donations of blankets, personal care items and food (for example, pasta, tuna, long-life milk, cereal and tinned vegetables) for emergency relief parcels are very welcome. Opening hours are 9am to 12.30pm each weekday. (In an emergency, call Crisis Care on 131 611.)

The administrative functions of the Magdalene Centre remain, as usual, at St Mary Magdalene’s church hall, 26 Moore St, Adelaide.

The Magdalene Centre is an iconic provider of practical support to disadvantaged, isolated and marginalised people in Adelaide. Please continue to donate and support this important work.
