'New and creative ways of prayer' available for everyday life

The Anglican Communion News Service (ACNS) is reporting that “a daily office for the 21st century” is now available to Anglicans worldwide.

“Daily Prayer for All Seasons,” developed by the Standing Commission on Liturgy and Music offers services for each of the eight canonical hours of the day. A complete service covers one or two pages and is designed to accommodate busy, modern lives.

The prayer book presents a variety of images of God, uses inclusive and expansive language for and about God, and presents a rich variety of language.

“These prayers will help you pray at all times and find the right words when necessary,” the Rev. Mark Bozzuti-Jones, a contributor to the volume. “This book will teach you how to pray.”
