The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has reassured the people of Earth that despite persistent rumours, no asteroid is about to destroy the planet.
NASA released a formal statement in response to several blog and social media posts claiming an asteroid will bang into the Earth sometime between 15 and 28 September 2015.
According to NASA, this is not going to happen and we can go about our business knowing that the skies will remain clear.
There has been no formal announcement from Heaven about the postponement of Judgement Day, but we can probably assume that where Celestial Announcements are involved, no news is good news.
And with that concern alleviated, we are all free to fret about whether or not Michael Clarke will manage a duck on his last outing in test cricket.
There's always something, isn't there.
