We give thanks for Fr Anthony, a giant of a man. A person of open-heart who brightened the day of everyone he met. Although a committed Anglo-Catholic in the rather extreme tradition of St Mary Magdalene's he recognised that God loved everyone and he was always out there 'sharing the love'.
I am particularly aware how he never intimidated his family with church tradition, or the need to be be the priest's kids. However, I knew him best as an Industrial Chaplain in an Ecumenical context., working amongst people of varying traditions.
He welcomed people of all faith persuasions...and of none. For Anthony he was convinced that everyone was worth his time and attention.
We will miss his engaging personality, his accepting nature, and above all his deep smile.
May he, indeed, rest in peace
